We're RECOVER trained!
General

At EPCT, being an emergency veterinary hospital isn’t just about being available 24/7 — it’s about being prepared and ready 24/7. That’s why every member of our team, from our skilled veterinary technicians to our customer service representatives — often your first point of contact — is trained in RECOVER CPR.
What is RECOVER?
The Reassessment Campaign on Veterinary Resuscitation (RECOVER) is an international, veterinarian-led initiative that developed the first evidence-based veterinary CPR guidelines. Backed by the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care (ACVECC) and the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society (VECCS), RECOVER provides standardized, research-driven training in pet CPR.
Why We Prioritized This Training
In a cardiac or respiratory emergency, every second counts — and training can directly impact survival outcomes. For us, prioritizing RECOVER certification for our staff was a no-brainer.
Proper training reduces the risk of mistakes, defines clear roles and steps during a code event, and ensures efficient, calm communication. That structure brings clarity, confidence, and coordination when it matters most — and it can mean the difference between hesitation and life-saving action.
What This Means for You
Continually advancing our team’s training and certifications reflects our commitment to veterinary excellence and to raising the standard of care you can expect at EPCT.
When your pet comes through our doors, they're supported by a highly trained, synchronized team who not only know the latest CPR protocols, but know exactly how to work together — swiftly and effectively — in critical moments.
It’s more than just training. It’s peace of mind.
