Dr. Ashley DeCillo was raised in Galveston where her family rescued and adopted animals. Being at the veterinary hospital regularly, she found her calling in the veterinary field being an animal advocate. She attended the University of Houston as an undergraduate and Texas A&M University for her veterinary degree. Upon graduation, she completed a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery finding her passion in emergency medicine. She has worked at two specialty hospitals in Houston area eventually coming to Emergency Pet Care of Texas. Her particular interests within emergency medicine are traumatic brain injury and other neurological cases as well as soft tissue surgery. Dr. DeCillo spends her free time with her two children, Gianluca and Isabella, along with her two dogs, Freya and Odin.
