Dr. Jessica Colborn grew up in South Texas and graduated from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. After graduation, she worked for 5 years as a mixed-animal practitioner before transitioning to Small-Animal General Practice and Emergency Medicine. She served as Program Veterinarian for Lone Star College’s Veterinary Technology Program for a few years and returned to Emergency Medicine in 2020.

Dr. Colborn has an interest in soft tissue surgery and wound care, cytology, endocrinology, and infectious diseases. Dr. Colborn is very active in the Texas Veterinary Medical Association, currently serving on the Board of Directors, the Government Relations Committee, and a Working Group on Labor Force. Her biggest passion is finding ways to improve the delegation of duties and job satisfaction for LVTs and support staff.

During her time off, Dr. Colborn enjoys camping and hiking with her family, adventure travel, roller coasters, and cooking.
